The race for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat has gone a notch higher.
This comes after billionaire business mogul Kiprop Bundotich aka Buzeki, who is the incumbent’s worst nightmare, announced his choice for a running mate just yesterday.
Dr. Samuel Cheruiyot is a holder of a BScN from the University of Eastern Africa Baraton, as well as a MSN from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and serves among the faculty at Kisii University, Eldoret Campus.
Buzeki’s announcement comes amidst much speculation and propaganda that has been hyped over the past months that he had teamed up with MCA Peter Chomba, but this latest move quells all speculation over the matter.
Uasin Gishu residents on social media welcomed the move and heaped praises on the duo wishing them well, as they shared their expectations upon their election as the next governor and deputy governor of the county.
Buzeki and Cheruiyot will face off with the incumbent and his deputy Daniel Chemno as the battle for the gubernatorial seat heats up.
Here are some of the responses from social media about the announcement:
